Bio

I was born and raised on a dairy farm just outside of Acton in Halton Hills and attended school in Limehouse, MZ Bennett, Acton High School and graduated from Sheridan College in the Hotel and Restaurant Management program.  My background includes retail, cooking, Hospitality Management and also Sales.  But all my work history involves the daily interactions of working with people.

I was honoured to be elected to serve as President of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.  The national municipal advocacy organisation.  It gave me the opportunity to meet with elected officials from across Canada and around the world.  It has presented me with opportunities for our community and Ideas I want to continue to bring here.  I was awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal for my work as well as a medal of Honour from the Peru Association of Rural Communities.

My wife and I have our home here in Halton Hills and love to spend time kayaking, flower and vegetable gardening, walking and riding our bikes. Our garden is a registered pollinator garden and I assist at an apiary as a hobby.

I do not sit on the side lines!  I dive into committee work….
